Everything Working Mothers Need

Woman in the box: Create the life you want to live

September 23, 2016 By janice.windt@gmail.com

Phillipa Geard 2016As working mothers, we understand that many employers underestimate and undervalue the importance of flexibility in the workplace. While you still need to give your all at your job, you also need to be able to take care of your children and ensure you have enough time to make sure you’re raising kids you can be proud of! Phillipa Geard understands this and rather than just sit idly by, she responded by launching RecruitMyMom in 2012.

After graduating from UCT with a Bachelor of Business Science Honours, Phillipa worked locally and internationally with Procter & Gamble. After starting her family she left to raise her children, and then started her own marketing outsource company with a partner, in which she is still involved.  In 2012, RecruitMyMom was launched. Phillipa was inspired by the talents and abilities of many mothers who can be a great asset in business provided they are given the flexibility they require, and sees herself as an activist for flexible working. RecruitMyMom fulfils needs for both moms and companies – so many skills are scarce in South Africa and are desperately needed by companies in various industries. Phillippa recognised that there were many people out there who could offer these services, but not in the traditional 9-5 format, which is when the idea for RecruitMyMom was born.

RecruitMyMom is an online agency networked with thousands of skilled, experienced women throughout South Africa. Skilled women who fill the skill and resource gaps in organisations by offering skilled solutions for all part-time jobs, flexible work hours, work-from-home jobs, project work, maternity cover and temp job requirements. They save potential employees time by attracting meaningful employment opportunities to our website, then all you need to do is apply. After all, #THEJUGGLEISREAL and time is precious when you’re juggling a career and parenting responsibilities.

The Working Mothers Expo brings together the very best products and services for working mothers are now available ONLINE. We’ve done the research, so you don’t have to. www.workingmothersexpo.com

5 Ways to Make Every Moment Count as a Working Mother
