Fit Exercise into Your Schedule Today with TransformHERS

April 14, 2016 By janice.windt@gmail.com

Looking to fit exercise into your busy scheduleLooking to Fit Exercise into Your Busy Schedule? Having kids can sometimes seem like the enemy of exercise for working mothers. We tend to sideline the dreaded ‘E’ word in the hopes that our hips will magically slim down on their own while we’re sleeping… a bit like a two year old thinking you can’t see her when she covers her eyes!

Not exercising comes with a slew of problems – and we don’t just mean the stubborn wobbly bits. Remember the days of endorphin highs after a night of dancing, or the gloriously saintly feeling you used to get walking out of a hardcore spinning class before work? Those happy hormones are a vital ingredient for any mother’s sanity!

It was in a quest to find a form of exercise that wouldn’t bore us to tears or send us into traction that got us interested in TransformHERS, an innovative new exercise concept designed specifically for women.

THLogoFounded by sports and outdoor enthusiasts Tarryn Seagram and Cheryl Whelan, the TransformHERS model incorporates a variety of different exercise forms at several locations around Joburg – all at a very affordable price. The idea is to get women together to have some fun, get some exercise, meet new friends and activate those precious endorphins.

Each of the TransformHERS programmes run over 4 weeks, and include outdoor fitness, yoga and 1 on 1 personal training options for you to choose from. Plus, each option is designed to suit all shapes and sizes as well as fitness levels.

The workouts, which are put together by experienced professionals, change from day to day to keep things interesting and fun, incorporating light weights, therabands, skipping ropes, obstacle courses, ball workouts and more. With classes being held at a variety of times and venues, you can pick and choose those that fit in with your schedule.

Adding a TransformHERS hatha yoga session to your weekly programme is a great way to reconnect with your inner reservoir of calm, helping you to release stress and regain some much-needed balance.

If you’re not into group exercise and prefer to sweat in private, then the 1 on 1 sessions are ideal for you, providing more time flexibility and the luxury of selecting your own location. It also means that the workout is designed specifically with your goals and limitations in mind, offering you a fast-track to a wobbly-bit-free life.

So, as it turns out, kids are not the enemy of exercise!  In fact, TransformHers has recently started offering TransformKIDS, kiddies bootcamp and even create custom soccer parties for their loyal fans… exercise can be a way of life, and not just for mum!

3 Ways to Create Me Time in Your Day

Somewhere in the far reaches of my memory I can recall the concept of Me time: A moment that involved me, a book and a cup of chamomile tea on the two-seater couch that just fitted in my tiny first apartment…  A breeze would gently blow the sweet sound of children’s voices in through the open window. …
