Going Solo…

October 17, 2017 By janice.windt@gmail.com

Why do we find it so hard to take care of ourselves?

Going solo can be the most freeing and valuable thing you can do for yourself and your family.  My boys are five and six now and I have been away from them a full total of four nights in six years – two of those were when my second son was born.

Recently I lead the charge to practice what I preach and take some time for self care…

A few days of rest and peace can achieve a lot.  Especially when it’s been years!

Here is a photo journal of a very special weekend away at Leeuwenhof Country Estate

If you can’t manage to get away for a few days, join us on a Time Management Make-Over for a wonderful morning that is all about you!

And one of Mom, back home safely and well rested 🙂

Teaching Forgiveness

Teaching Forgiveness

“I don’t want you!” my three-year-old yells, tears streaming down his cheeks… “I don’t want anything!”.  He flings the egg cup across the room, shattering porcelain all over the floor, and runs off in tears. Teaching forgiveness as a parent often involves learning it first… I am finished.  This reaction is all out of proportion –…
