Helen Nicholson is a respected business networking specialist with experience in both local and international business markets. She has a BCom degree from Wits University, and spent five years in the Middle East where she successfully developed and sold her own business before bringing her expertise back to South Africa.
Helen boasts international marketing experience as the coordinator of the marketing operation in the Middle East for Novell, and has brought this expertise back to her home country. Aside from lecturing at various business schools including Wits Business School, GIBS and the UCT Graduate School of Business, Helen Nicholson is also the director of The Networking Company, a founding member of The Professional Speakers Association of South Africa, and the author of her recently published bestseller “Networking – How To Get Your Black Belt In Business Success.” She is hosting Learning Innovation Africa in September this year at the Turbine Hall in Johannesburg, which promises to be conference that will turn traditional conferencing on its head.
As a single mother of identical twin girls, who has achieved phenomenal personal and business success while also completing the New York Marathon in 2011, Helen Nicholson is an inspiration to so many of us this Women’s Day. From the Middle East to South African soil, she has been challenging the status quo for decades and has never tired of pushing herself to achieve everything she is capable of.
