Most companies are different, but we are different from most: we are a small team with big objectives. The Munching Mongoose was started in September 2014 by business partners Tamryn Dicks and Brad Meiring. We are passionate about showcasing the incredible produce we have in South Africa, offering superb service and creating amazing experiences. On a weekly basis we collate a box of fresh, seasonal, locally and organically grown produce and gourmet artisan products. We exclusively support and partner with small scale local producers and conveniently deliver the box of healthy and tasty goods right to our customers’ homes. We add our own personal and quirky touch to ensure that every week our Mongaggle Members (mongoose families) look forward to the arrival of The Munching Mongoose delivery. As part of our commitment to giving back, we and our partners donate produce monthly to a home for abused and abandoned children. We love that as a result of our service, families get to, and are encouraged to, spend quality time together centred around great food – from the understanding of where the food comes from, through preparation and of course to the consumption.
While we do work hard, we like to live up to what our brand strives for: enjoying life with sustainable and tasty food. This, combined with the fact that we look to distinguish ourselves from our competition, is why we take a unique and quirky approach to what we are doing, hence the Munching Mongoose. We also believe in old school values such as honesty and integrity and we are passionate about helping people look after themselves and the environment.
